Celeigh Cardinal (pronounced Kay-lee):

A Celeigh Cardinal performance is a profound, soulful triumph of songs that blend roots, folk, rock and pop. Her voice at once evokes a gentleness and control which can turn to raucous, gut wrenching, twisted, turn-yourself-inside-out blues within a single phrase.  She is a passionate performer who can draw an emotional response with her deliberate words and rich contralto voice.

This year Celeigh has received the Western Canadian Music Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year, a CBC Indigenous Music nomination for best pop album and has also received a whopping 8 Edmonton Music Awards nominations for her recently released album, “Everything and Nothing at all”, from which she was the recipient of Female Artist of the year and Indigenous Recording of the year. She has played many Canadian Festivals this summer and toured in Scandinavia the last two years. She is currently based out of Edmonton, Alberta and continues to perform alongside her duo, trio as well as with her band.

January has already come and almost gone!
Here's what happened in January:
Dec. 31st - Jan. 1st - New Years Eve w/ Andrew Scott at Sherlock Holmes Pub Downtown
(was a super fun time but we were both sick as dogs, just pushing to get through,  but WE DID!)

Jan 7th - Dylan and I played at Fionn MacCool's Skyview and had a super fun time and some delicious food too!
Jan 14th - Ben and I played at The Deep Freeze Festival inside the coolest Yurt stage and explored a bit of one the coolest festivals in Edmonton. I love winter, so this festival with the snow sculptures and ice slides, and art EVERYWHERE was definitely for me!
Jan15th - 20th - Dylan and I got to be part of Scott Cook and the Long Weekends.  What an adventure! I sang backups and learned how to do the mashed potato.  GREAT FUN!  Scott is a phenomenal song writer, and it was an inspiring experience!

Jan 21st- Dylan and I played at the Fionn MacCool's Mayfield! One of fav's to come to, not only cause the bar, but also the awesome staff!
and going forward, this weekend:
Jan 27th - Ben and I will be at Fargo's Capilano for their happy hour set 6-8 PM
Jan 29th - Ben, Dylan and I will be playing an acoustic trio set at On The Rocks at 9 PM!

December with Celeigh

oh apparently i haven't been updating my website for the last 3 MONTHS?!? what is wrong with me? Well, let me just say this, ALOT happened in October.
I was asked to participate in the (Re)Claim program at the Banff Centre for the Arts, and it was amazing and beautiful! I was also choose to be part of ATB financial's pop-up series of performances, which turned out to be a surprise gift to me of a $3000 grant! That day was full of many tears.
November flew by with lots of performances, and good times, and now it's December!
You can catch Dylan and I at the Crown and Tower in St. Albert on December 23rd, and then I'll be with my good pal and broseph, Andrew Scott, for New Years at Sherlock Holmes pub downtown!
Cheers all,
Happy holidays! I send you all my love!

What a beautiful summer we have had so far.  Many thunderstorms, and lots of sun! The Celeigh Cardinal Band just got back from Yellowknife where we played at an amazing wedding, and the Old town Ramble & Ride Festival.  Such a beautiful place, i didn't want to leave!
In August we are playing at the Black Dog on August 27th, and as usual, i will be hosting open stages on Monday at Sideliners Pub and Thursdays at Coach's Corner in Morinville! Looking forward to fall, and just starting to get back to booking!
